Sylvia Sharp brings more than 20 years of banking experience and a lifetime of customer service to her role as Branch Service Manager. She began her career as a teller and steadily advanced through positions including Lead Teller, Teller Manager, New Accounts, Assistant Branch Manager, and Branch Support Manager. In between her years in banking, Sylvia also gained valuable financial experience working in accounts payable for nine years, further strengthening her attention to detail and operational knowledge.

Sylvia is also deeply involved in her community. She has been a dedicated member of the Giddings New Horizons Lions Club for 15 years, where she has served as Treasurer, earned Rookie of the Year honors, and currently contributes as a board member. In addition, she is an active member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings, where she has served as a lector and taught 5th grade religion.

With a career rooted in service and a strong commitment to her community, Sylvia leads with experience, care, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves. Her passion for serving others started early, at just seven years old, she was greeting customers and pumping gas at her father’s service station, the very location where the bank’s motor bank stands today. That early introduction to customer care shaped the approach she still carries into her work: treat people well, work hard, and take pride in serving your community.

A native of Giddings, Sylvia has deep roots in the area and strong ties to nearby Brenham, where she lived for 20 years and attended Blinn College. She is a proud mother of two sons and a new grandmother to Alexander, a role she cherishes. Outside of the bank, Sylvia enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, camping, taking weekend getaways, and fishing along the Texas coast.
